Mini-gatefold package includes a foldout reproduction of Brian Eno's 1998 fax to Bang on a Can, in praise of the original studio recording. "I don't know why this recording has moved me so deeply," he wrote. "I think this is so very beautiful I'm almost embarrassed to say it, except for the fact that what I'm finding beautiful is the powerfully emotional quality you brought to it."

An incredibly rare artifact of history! This copy of the original run of the Bang on a Can All-Stars’ recording of Music for Airports, released in 1998 on Point Music is signed by the ambient progenitor himself, Brian Eno – plus the arrangers of this studio album, Michael Gordon, David Lang, & Julia Wolfe – as well as the founding members of the All-Stars, who recorded it: Robert Black, Evan Ziporyn, Maya Beiser, Steve Schick, Lisa Moore, and Mark Stewart.
Only two copies of this heirloom exist, making it a truly remarkable part of any Eno ephemera collection.

Yet another wonderful epic post-minimalist work by the master of environmental trandenscentalism. The obvious companion piece to his majestic 'Become Ocean'. polinos

This is stunning.
Everything about it is superb: the composition, the playing, the recording. To hear the violin played with a glass-cutting purity, and to hear the melodies unfurl one not at a time is a sublime experience. This is immaculately crafted music, with a power and control that belies it monophonic delicacy.
